The Continental Automated Buildings Association has launched a study to better understand consumers’ opinions and attitudes about energy as a managed service in the home.   Read more.

The Continental Automated Buildings Association is pleased to announce the launch of the CABA Research Program.  This new effort will build upon and succeed the research efforts that were undertaken by CABA’s Connected Home Research Council and CABA’s Intelligent and Integrated Buildings Council.  Read more.

The Summer 2010 edition of iHomes & Buildings magazine focuses on CABA's comprehensive research program, along with measurement and verification for commercial buildings. The issue also examines the delivery and implementation of the smart grid within the United States.  The latest edition is available at: www.caba.org/ihomesandbuildings.

Seattle City Light, Seattle's publicly owned electric power utility, invites the CABA membership to apply for grants for energy efficiency upgrades to buildings in its service territory. CABA members can contact Phoebe Warren at 206.684.3795 or phoebe.warren@seattle.gov to learn more about energy conservation grant funding.

CABA has been collaborating with the New Buildings Institute to assist with its "Office of the Future" project. There are eight participating utilities undertaking pilot research projects involving integrated systems. One of the participating utilities, PG&E is looking for a building to undertae their pilot and if you have interest, please contact Don O'Connor, CABA's Business Development Manager at 613.686.1814 x226 or oconnor@caba.org.
